Latest News: New Zealand Government boosts cancer medicine funding

In October 2024, the New Zealand Government announced a major boost in funding for cancer medicines over the next four years.

We are excited to announce the introduction of up to 26 new cancer treatments, significantly improving access to vital therapies for New Zealanders. This initiative is set to benefit around 175,000 people in its first year, providing effective treatment options for all cancer types, including blood cancers and tumours.

Some treatments are available now while others will be phased in over the next year. This expansion aims to further enhance health outcomes ensuring that more Kiwi (New Zealanders) can access vital life-changing medications.

We need dedicated people like you to make it happen
